The Honest Company Review: In our Honest review, we found the Honest Company’s diverse product line of non-toxic items is a definite time saver. Skip the supercenters and get online with The Honest Company to take care of all your household essential needs including cleaning products, personal care items, baby needs from diapers to formula, and even health items such as vitamins. The Honest Co. is a one-stop shop for almost all of these items.
If you’re looking for a subscription service that offers a choice from several products it’s definitely worth it to sign-up. Each month you choose the items you want to place in your bundle and when you want to receive the next shipment. If you’re not ready for a refill or new products, you can just push out the delivery date. Or if you prefer you can set up your order once and let it be on auto-pilot as long as you want.
The Honest Company was my very first subscription service. It all came about one day when I didn’t want to spend time going to the store to get more shampoo. I thought to myself, I’d rather be enjoying a weekend or weeknight away from work spending time with my family and friends rather than standing in line at the store. It’s like you always have to go to the store for something, and at least once a month you need to go for necessary personal care items.
I knew there had to be a solution to save me time and money shopping online. I heard about The Honest Company so I looked them up and loved what I discovered. Then I started my search online for subscription services to save me even more time and money, and thus turned my addition into a website. You can read more about that in my disclosure policy.
But back to The Honest Company review… I found The Honest Company Essentials Bundle met my needs for the majority of my household items that I used to go to the supercenter to buy. Priced at $35.95 for the Essentials Bundle, you can get 5 items of your choice from household to personal care. If you need even more products, you can add on up to 3 items and get an additional 20% discount for each of those items.
This adds up to even more savings. You’re getting non-toxic products at a bundled discount way cheaper than any you can find at a store. At this price, these all-natural products are almost the same cost as regular items at the store that contain harmful ingredients and chemicals. And the best part is you never have to waste gas driving to the store or time walking through aisles and crowded checkout lines.
I like to maximize the savings in my Honest Essentials Bundle by selecting 5 of the highest priced items for the bundle, and 3 of the lowest cost items for my add-ons. For my monthly bundle, I always choose the Honest Co laundry detergent since it is one of the most expensive household items. I then switch up the other 4 items between shampoo, conditioner, lotion, healing balm, stain remover, deodorant, shave oil, etc. They have so many products to choose from, you will always find an amazing value with the bundle. For my 3 add-ons to the bundle, I usually choose dish soap and personal care add-ons.
I’ve gotten so many products, that I could go on forever for The Honest Company review. I’ll give you a few details of the individual products I order with my bundle so you can choose what’s right for you. As said above, get the laundry detergent as one of your bundled items. It adds good value to your bundle and is a safe, non-toxic detergent.
Honest Shampoo & Conditioner Review: Honest conditioner leaves your hair soft even after you rinse it out. It doesn’t leave behind any residue or make your hair greasy after it dries. For our Honest review, I recommend Honest conditioner and use it monthly. I found the Honest shampoo to be non-lathering and a little bit stripping to the hair. When you wash with Honest shampoo, you definitely feel the need to condition right after. Honest shampoo would be acceptable to use for men’s hair, but maybe not the best choice for women.
The Honest Shampoo is a 2-in-1 product, also used as a body wash.

Honest Deodorant Review: Honest offers three different deodorants: Vetiver tailored for men, Lavender Vanilla for women, and Bergamot Sage as a unisex alternative. I found the lavender vanilla deodorant to have somewhat of an odd smell. I’ll use it occasionally because it’s a safe deodorant spray, but it’s not something I want to smell on its’ own. My Husband loves the Vetiver deodorant. He sprays it on daily and it does a really good job preventing stinky underarms. It has a pleasant scent for men. I haven’t tried the third deodorant, but may do so after my Husband runs out of the Vetiver. For the Honest Company review, I recommend the Vetiver deodorant.
Honest deodorant has a potent proprietary anti-odor complex that naturally combats odor-causing bacteria.
- Unique essential oil blend of organic tea tree, witch hazel, lemon, and eucalyptus neutralizes odors, while beneficial aloe conditions and soothes skin
- Available in three light and refreshing scents – perfectly balanced for both men and women
- Clean and non-irritating with NO white, sticky, or toxic residues — won’t rub off or stain clothing
- Unlike antiperspirants, our aluminum-free deodorant doesn’t clog ducts or pores, allowing for natural breathability
- Finally, a natural, safe, and effective deodorant, without antiperspirants or harmful chemicals
- Natural • Non-Toxic • Unisex • Ultra Pure • Long-Lasting • Hypoallergenic
Honest Shave Oil Review: Honest shave oil is almost like an aftershave for men. In fact, my Husband used it the first time and tried to convince me it was supposed to be aftershave. As oil, it lubricates your skin, but when mixed with water I don’t think it gives the best glide for your razor like a shave gel would. I tried it once and it left my legs with a tingly sensation afterwards. Some may love this sensation, but I wasn’t a big fan. It works for my husband, but I’ll pass on using it in the future.
Honest shave oil is made with ultra concentrated organic oils and pure plant extracts to help protect skin and prevent nicks, cuts, and razor burn.
- Argan, grapeseed and jojoba oils leave skin conditioned and moisturized
- Soothing calendula, aloe, and tamanu oils help calm sensitive skin, and reduce irritation
- 100% natural, highly-concentrated, organic ingredients – No harsh chemicals
- Certified Organic • Hypoallergenic • Vegan • Soothing • Conditioning • 100% Pure Plant Extracts
Honest Dish Soap & Suds Up Review: Honest Dish Soap lathers and works well to keep dishes clean. I enjoy the lemon scent to help fight garlic smells! The Honest Suds Up ceramic soap dish and bamboo brush is a genius way to save water during our California drought. For The Honest Company Review, I recommend Honest Dish Soap and highly recommend the Suds Up soap dish and brush.
Such a simple concept, the Suds Up soap dish works by putting a tablespoon or so of dish soap in the ceramic dish, filling it halfway with water. Then you dip the brush in the ceramic soap dish to wash each dish. No need to leave the water running or fill the sink up. Once you use the suds up ceramic dish with the bamboo brush, dish washing will never be the same! The brush and dish are stylish enough to leave by the sink and still keep the kitchen looking tidy.
Honest Dish Soap has an ultra-concentrated formula for extra suds.
- Available in 3 delightful scents: Lemon Verbena, Lavender, & White Grapefruit
- No harsh chemicals
- Non-Toxic • Ultra-Concentrated • pH Balanced • Biodegradable • Extra Suds
Honest Feminine Care Review: If you weren’t aware, most feminine care products contain toxic chemicals (to help increase absorbency) which can be directly absorbed by your body. I don’t know about you, but ever since I found out and started to actually think about what that means, I decided to go organic with my personal care products. I use only all natural, non-toxic tampons, pad, and liners.
The great news is The Honest Company recently added feminine care products to their personal care line. This means I can add them to my Honest Essentials Bundle! Tampons come with or without the applicator.
Honest Tampons are made with naturally absorbent, breathable 100% organic cotton.
- Comfort fit design gently expands width-wise for a more natural and secure fit, and enhanced leak protection
- 8 specialized grooves regulate even expansion and enhance absorption
- Cord is woven, not glued
- No fragrances, deodorants, rayon, or synthetic super absorbents
- Come in Regular, Super, & Super absorbencies
- Hypoallergenic • Comfort Fit • pH Compatible • Breathable • 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton
I regularly order the organic cotton tampons without the applicator. They are individually wrapped in thin plastic which you pull off to use. You don’t have to worry about throwing away the applicator or fitting them into your purse. They can easily be hidden in the palm of your hand or a small wallet pocket. The absorbency is comparable to just about every other tampon brand out there. Since the Honest tampons are non-toxic, this makes them a better choice.
Honest also offers panty liners, made with naturally soft and absorbent organic cotton to provide premium comfort, dryness, and pH compatibility. They ensure breathability for sensitive skin and have no fragrances, deodorants, rayon, or synthetic super absorbents.
Hypoallergenic • Ultra Thin • Soft & Breathable • Made With 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton
I ordered the Honest thong liners which are organic cotton, lightweight and have plant-based waterproof backing for leak protection. You can use these as a panty liner or a thong liner, by folding the edges over. However, I wouldn’t recommend these as a thong liner and won’t be purchasing them again myself. The liner itself is too thick to fold over; it’s not like normal wings on a pad. I also noticed the thong liner twisting up. I can still use the remaining liners for normal panties. So if you feel like you want to give them a chance, if all else, they can still be used with regular underwear and not get wasted.
Although I wasn’t a big fan of the thong liners, I still highly recommend all of the other personal care items offered by The Honest Company.
Honest Review Summary: The Honest Company offers great value to bargain shoppers looking for organic safe alternatives for their family needs. With a choice of the Diapers & Wipes Bundle, Essentials Bundle, Organic Infant Formula & DHA Bundle, or the Health & Wellness Bundle, you can’t go wrong.
